About FLUX

Established in 2023 alongside actor and creator Jacob Meadows, FLUX is a recurring scratch night platforming short-form performance and providing rehearsal space to artists.

FLUX aims to provide an accessible space for artists to try out new work in a low-stakes environment and to foster a creative community that inspires and supports.

The Juniper Tree

February 2026

At FLUX 04 we were proud to facilitate the first iteration of The Juniper Tree; a 40 minute multidisciplinary theatre piece that includes song, dance and shadow puppets. The participants have since established a theatre group ‘The Absurdist Theatre Collective’, and have shown the play in multiple venues and festivals.

Apply To FLUX Showcase

FLUX is a vibrant space where you can showcase your latest projects, exchange ideas and connect with fellow creatives. Each event had a theme that can be used to springboard new ideas and keep the evening focused and flowing.

Whether it is a work in progress, an experimental piece or a fully realised creation, we welcome all work that reflects the richness and diversity of our creative community.

We take submissions for the official showcase for which we offer free rehearsal space prior to the evening to those taking part. To apply to be part of the line up for the next FLUX fill in the form below.

Alternatively, there is an open sharing session at the end of each FLUX event. This is an integral part of the evening and only requires a sign-up on the night.
